What can I expect from Outer Edge Travel Events and Adventures?
You can expect an experience, that is just that, an experience. We pride ourselves in not just being sightseers or tourists, but active participants in life. Expect to change perspectives with a change of scenery.
What makes your Adventures/Trips unique?
So much of life can occur behind the glass and within the container of comfort. We explore the full spectrum of life. We pride ourselves in seeking out ways to grow and immerse participants in unique cultures throughout the world.
I see yoga adventures listed, do you offer 'non yoga' trips?
Absolutely!
Can I go to an event or on a trip alone?
Yes, and believe us you're not alone. The beauty of our offerings is that we create a space for those with common interests to gather and explore together. We do what we can to create community.
Who will I room with?
We pair all of our solo travllers with someone of the same gender when you choose a shared rooming options. When possible we do our best to pair you with someone of like mind and interests.
I have never done yoga. Can I join a yoga adventure/event?
Yes. The physical practice of yoga will be tailored to the group. The integration of yoga techniques for travel and transformation will be practical and approachable for all. Each yoga excursion is designed to focus on the most practical aspects of yoga including postures and philosophies so that tools can be used by anyone with or without yoga experience.
Can I share a room with my friend/s or partner?
Can I be comfortable doing adventure travel?
Adventure travel and physical comfort can go hand-in-hand. We are adventure seekers with years of experience leaping out of our comfort zones and well practiced at getting comfortably uncomfortable. This means we are experts at finding the edge and crafting ways for you explore yours with some added comforts.
Who are your guides?
We are proud to be a small company that is founded on the company we keep. That means we vet our guides in order to ensure they align with our high standards. Yes, we love adventures, but this is an area where to do our best to safetly take the next step. We always love to hear feedback from our participants on their guided experiences.
What is the maximum group size?
We pride ourselves in minimum impact and maximum enjoyment -- we keep our group sizes to a maximum of 12 people whenever possible.
What do I need to bring?
Usually all you need to bring is your personal gear. We provide a gear list outlining needed clothing and equipment for each trip on our website.
What's the food like?
On hotel- and inn-based trips, we dine in local restaurants and have the pleasure of experiencing a variety of local cuisine. We eat well on our camping trips, too, which feature an abundance of fresh, delicious food. On our high-altitude climbing trips, we use a combination of fresh and freeze-dried food. All water used for cooking and drinking is purified by filter or it's boiled. We can also accommodate special dietary requests (vegetarian, food allergies, etc.). Please refer to the specific trip itinerary for a list of which meals are included on your trip.
What are the fitness level ratings for Adventures/Events?
We have active trips for every skill level, ranging from relaxed to strenuous. These guidelines will help you select the level of adventure that's right for you.
