Content found here covers both Terms of Service regarding our shorter events termed "Special Events" and our travel events termed "Adventures" or "Trips."
PAYMENTS & CANCELLATION
TERMS OF SERVICE
Outer Edge Travel lists all inclusions with each service.
​
Airfare, travelers insurance, tips, or alcohol is rarely included.
REGISTRATION
Registration and reservations can be made by completing the registration process included on that event page.
Travel registration is considered complete once the registration form is received, reviewed, and non-refundable deposit is received.
PARTICIPANT CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation of events listed on our "Special Events" page can only be transferred to another event. Rarely will we grant a refund of funds for these events.

Cancellation of Travel Events termed Adventures must be made in writing.
Once we have received notification of of your request, cancellation will be subject to the following:
​
1. If cancellation occurs more than 60 days prior to departure any payments made will be refunded, minus the deposit.
​
2. If cancellation takes place between 30-60 days prior to departure, 50% of the retreat price will be forfeited.
​
3. If cancellation takes place less than 30 days prior to departure, 100% of the trip price will be forfeited.
4. Important: Payment in full is due 60 day prior to any "Adventure" or "Trip." If payment in full is not received 60 days prior to departure and you did not cancel your registration or have have stopped responding to communications, Outer Edge Travel retains the right to charge the remaining balance due to the credit card provided and release your spot. Any amount forfeited which has not been paid to Outer Edge Travel, by you will be recovered from you by Out Edge Travel, as a debt due and payable. Consider travelers insurance to protect the costs of your trip in the case of injury, illness, or inability to attend for other reasons. ​

CHANGES
Outer Edge Travel reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary by our team, event or trip leaders, teachers, and partners.
In the event that we need to make a last minute change to the venue, the teacher, the itinerary, or any aspects of the trip itinerary or any aspects of the trip due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, natural disaster, illness, civil unrest, death, closure, or any other unforeseen circumstances) we will offer the following to our guests who do not wish to attend based on the changes:

*Note: "Special Events" cancelled due to the weather are subject to the transfer of registration to another event date and will not result in a refund.

*Note: minor changes to Trip/Adventure itineraries, such as rearranging of the order in which the days events occur or take place, or the rearrangement of days events are not subject to the following.
​
1. Transfer your deposit to another trip to be taken within a year from the current trip. All other payments made will be forfeited to Outer Edge Travel and Outer Edge Travel will not be liable for for refunding or reimbursing any amount beyond the transfer of your deposit.

2, If you choose to completely cancel the trip based on the changes, the normal cancellation policies apply (see cancellation policy above). Outer Edge Travel is not responsible for for reimbursing or refunding any of the amount you paid if you decide to cancel based on these changes.

Please note: We require travelers insurance for each of our Trips/Adventures. You can make a claim based on the changes and you may have some or all of your expenses reimbursed by your insurance provider. This is one of the reasons we require travelers insurance in addition to other medical or travel complications that can occur.
CANCELLATIONS
The following terms are regarding Outer Edge Special Events:
In the rare case of cancellation on the part of Outer Edge Travel, we will only offer a transfer to another event.

The following terms are regarding Outer Edge Adventures/Trips:
In the rare case of cancellation on the part of Outer Edge Travel, we will offer a transfer to another trip or full refund of your funds. Outer Edge Travel is not responsible for any damages incurred as a result of trip cancellation including preparation costs, airline tickets, travel documents or other expenses. Outer Edge Travel reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure in the event that there are few too people booked, in which case, you will be given a full refund of any and all payments made to Outer Edge Travel. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek compensation for any injury, loss, expenses, damage (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation, including, but not limited to: visa, passport, and vaccination charges or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes.
INSURANCE & DOCUMENTS
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Outer Edge Travel requires each participant in Trips/Adventures to hold their own personal travel insurance including a medical policy. Travel insurance is required for both domestic and international travel. We suggest you include "cancel for any reason," when selecting your coverage. We recommend you purchase travel insurance within 1-2 weeks of making your trip payment, i.e. airline ticket purchase, trip deposit, etc. in order to secure the best price and coverage.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND IMMUNIZATION
It is the responsibility of each participant/traveler to obtain the all required travel documents including passport, visas, and other travel documents unless otherwise specified. Information regarding necessary travel documentation is provided for each trip. However, it is your responsibility to obtain the necessary immunizations for the country of intended travel. Contact your local travel clinic for more information.

Outer Edge Travel is not responsible for failure to obtain proper immunization for travels that you intend to take within the country of destination or elsewhere prior to or after your trip with Outer Edge Travel, including expenses, injury or death as a result. This included unintended travel to other countries due to airline cancellations and rerouting by the airline.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS & ASSUMPTION OF RESPONSIBILITY
Although Outer Edge Travel has taken reasonable steps to ensure safety, I acknowledge that this activity has risks which cannot be eliminated with out destroying the unique quality of these events and activities. The same elements that contribute to the unique character of these events and activities can cause loss or damage to the participant, including: injury, illness, or in extreme cases, permanent trauma, disability or death and can also cause damage to or loss of property. The following describes some, but not all of those risks:

Activities vary from trip to trip or event to event. Activities may include, but are not limited to: hiking, backpacking, and climbing in a wide variety of environments, including on rock, snow, and ice; bicycling on roads and trails with a wide range of surface conditions and traffic volume; rock climbing, climbing on apparatuses and ropes courses, using zip-lines/zip-wires, rope swings; whitewater rafting, river kayaking, sea-kayaking, and canoeing; swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and fishing.

Outer Edge Travel travels to remote locations around the world, that oftentimes can be many hours from medical facilities and services. Transportation, evacuation, and medical care can be significantly delayed; communication can be delayed, limited, or not available.
​
Environmental risks and hazards may include, but are not limited to: fast flowing water, deep, or cold water; insects, snakes, predators, including large animals; falling and rolling rocks; lightning, flash floods, and unpredictable forces of nature, including weather conditions that may change without warning. Possible injuries and illness include, hypothermia, frostbite, high altitude sickness/illness, sunburn, heatstroke, dehydration, and other mild or serious health conditions.

Throughout each trip each participant is responsible for their own safety.

I (the trip participant) acknowledge and understand that Outer Edge Travel LLC trips include risks of injury or death to participants. I understand the description above of these risks is not complete and that other unknown or or unanticipated risks may result in property loss, injury, or death. I agree to assume responsibility for the inherent risks identified herein and and those inherent risks not specifically identified. I acknowledge that participation in this activity is purely voluntary, no one is forcing my participation and participation is elected with full knowledge of the inherent risks.

I (the trip participant) assume and accept full responsibility for any injury, death, loss of personal property, and expenses suffered as a result of those inherent risks and dangers identified above, and those inherent risks and dangers not specifically identified and as a result of my negligence in participating in this activity.

PERSONAL RELEASE
By agreeing to the terms here and elsewhere on the Outer Edge Travel website I hereby release and discharge my rights and claims for damages or liabilities that may occur as a result of my participation in Outer Edge Travel LLC Travel/Adventures or Events/Special Events, including, but not limited to damages as a result of unexpected occurrences including those from weather, local political situations, wildlife, or or uncontrollable acts of God, including the risk of death. I release Outer Edge Travel including its owners, directors, employees, guides, liaisons, yoga teachers, and partners from liability for personal injury, illness, emotional damage, incurred travel expenses, property damage, or death as a result of my participation in special events/events or trips/adventures.

For the benefits of everyone, Outer Edge Travel reserves the right to accept or reject and participant at any time without liability, and in the event it determines, in its sole and exclusive discretion, that a participant is disruptive to the harmony of of a trip or event, it may without any obligation to pay a refund or any other amount whatsoever, expel such participant from the trip or event. Outer Edge Travel LLC will carry no responsibility or liability for any participant who leaves and event or trip before its conclusion or for any activity undertaken by any participant which is not included on the event or trip itinerary or outline.
By accepting this participation agreement I (the trip or event participant) represent that I have no physical conditions or medical precautions which would adversely affect my ability to take part in in the physical or cultural activities offered by Outer Edge Travel LLC. I understand that my participation in the activities offered could be injurious to my health and I voluntarily assume all risks related to such activities.
